I am a big fan of the holiday season. Even though I’m not what one would call a follower of a particular faith, I do believe in doing the right thing and being a decent human being. That’s partly why I love Christmas time. It’s a nice break from selfish behaviour where for ONE day people put aside differences and are thankful. Mind you, that’s not how it always goes. The hope is there though.

“Don’t hate me, but I think I’m going to ruin the Little Mermaid in A Raven’s Revenge.”
I’ve been thinking a lot about Seliki and what she is going through as the villain of the story. What if she’s just misunderstood? What if she had a horrible upbringing? What if she hates her Father the Devil? I can imagine readers are going to hate me for making them feel sorry for Seliki and maybe, just maybe, people will see why she’s like this.
My big whiteboard has become a great help as I’m struggling with a few ideas and plot twists. I tend to talk out loud while I’m writing ideas down and thank goodness I can do this at home because I can’t imagine what someone would think of me if they saw me. Ah well. That’s just how I do things.
