Urban Fantasy Fans, Meet Chris Smith of The Hunters

Today I’m helping out my friend Heidi Angell with the launch of her new book. Check out this character profile below. Enjoy! 🙂

Who is Chris Smith?

Chris is the main protagonist in The Hunters, book 1 of The Hunters Saga, an urban fantasy horror series for those who believe vampires should be killed, not kissed.

He is that awkward 17-year-old nerd/ D & D/ Goth kid that only has a few friends and spends most of his time with his nose in a book, obsessing over the supernatural.

Good thing, too, because if it wasn’t for his “weirdness” he and his brother Lucas would have been turned into vampires, or worse.

The author has always pictured Chris in her head as being a young Drew Fuller (like, EARLY Charmed days, young Drew Fuller!)

Drew not only embodied the dark awkward feel that the author was channeling for Chris, he also has that natural innocence and purity of belief that makes him so appealing to those who take the time to get to know him.

Chris has spent his life in books, mostly Fantasy, and has a very strict moral code that he really struggles within this modern day and age. Despite “just being a kid” he is driven to do the right thing and is very selfless in his actions. He also wants to be a hero (what teenage boy, doesn’t, right?) This puts him in some pretty sticky situations!

Want to learn more about Chris and his friends? The Hunters was just re-released with a new cover, to celebrate the launch of the second book in the series, The Hunted, Coming this February. You can get a free copy of The Hunters by subscribing to the author’s bookish e-newsletter or grab a copy for $4.99

Want to see more on the Tour? Tomorrow there will be a live reading by Fiatcelebrity on Twitch at 5 pm CST and a guest post by the author titled “Why My Vampires Don’t Sparkle” on Notes Around the Bend
